Century Group is partnering with a client who is seeking an Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location. Expected starting base salary of $80,000 to $100,000.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare, review, and maintain accurate and timely financial records, including general ledger entries, adjustments, deferrals, and accruals.
- Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements, reports, and analysis.
- Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Perform accurate and timely monthly sales commission calculations and accruals, and field questions from sales representatives and management.
- Monitor and analyze account and budget variances, identifying trends and providing recommendations for improvement.
Requirements: - Have a strong background in manufacturing.
- Understand cost of goods sold.
- Manage financials effectively.
- Forecast financial outcomes accurately.
- Handle inventory management and cash flow efficiently.
Qualifications: - A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of relevant and demonstrated hands-on accounting experience.
- Be an expert in accounting software such as QuickBooks (Desktop Enterprise Version) and Bill.com.
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Procedures (GAAP) and best business practices.
- Be proficient in advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook, with the ability to learn new skills.
