General Summary:

The PA under the supervision of the Physician, who acts as the collaborative practitioner, is responsible for:

• Surgical Assist (Urogynecology Procedures)

• Assist in urogynecology surgical cases including pelvic floor reconstruction, minimally invasive procedures, and bladder/prolapse repairs within the hospital setting

• Assist in Hysterectomies, Hysteroscopies, Bladder and Organ prolapse, Myomectomies, and more

• Orders preoperative and post operative medications as needed

• Collaborates with physician as necessary to provide consistent care to patients and support

• Displays a caring and professional attitude at all times as well as maintaining personal and professional growth

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, patients, and the public.

• Strong communication skills

Schedule Details:

• Monday-Friday

• Campuses Covered: AH Orlando

• Rotated Call required

Knowledge and Skills Required:

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, staff, and patients.

• Strong communication skills

• Strong medical decision-making skills

Required Education/Experience:

• Master's degree in Physician Assistant (PA-C) Studies

Licensure, Certification, and Registration:

• Current, valid Florida PA

• Certification by NCCPA, ANCC or other nationally recognized certification organization

• BLS & ACLS
