Job Description

City Of Portland - Airport Master Electrician

The Portland International Jetport is seeking a highly motivated individual for the Engineering and Facilities Department. Under the direction of the Facilities Supervisor, this position involves technical work in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment throughout the terminal and parking garage. The Aviation & Transportation Department offers a $1,500 sign-on and $2,500 relocation bonus available to qualifying external applicants.

Requirements:

  • Must possess a valid State of Maine Master Electricians license
  • Considerable knowledge of best practices, materials, tools, and equipment of the Electrical trade
  • Skill in locating and correcting defects in many different types of electrical systems
  • Ability to pass all required background investigations and maintain a valid Class C Maine Drivers License

Training & Experience Desired:

  • Prior electrician or facilities experience in a large and/or industrial facility
  • Successful completion of TSA background check (TSR Part 1542)

Expected Hours/Schedule:

40-hour schedule, Monday-Friday, 2pm - 10:30pm.

Salary & Benefits:

This is a union position, Labor and Trades (Grade 19MA), Salary range starting $33.68/hour - $39.09/hour, based on experience.
