We harness the power of 3D printing, advanced joining techniques like friction stir welding, and cutting-edge design tools to tackle complex challenges for a diverse set of clients.
Key Responsibilities: - The potential candidate shall be proficient in all aspects of CNC programming, machining and inspection.
- The applicant must be proficient in off-line CNC programming, capable of making own set-ups on simple easy to machine parts to single one-of-a-kind complex prototypes on a variety of materials.
- This person must also be capable of providing technical and operational assistance to apprentice machine tool operators.
Basic Qualifications: - High school diploma plus additional technical coursework in machining preferred.
- Prior directly related technical machining experience.
- The candidate must have a minimum of 5-8 years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing/machining environment.
Preferred Qualifications: - Completion of a 4-year Machining/Machinist journeyperson apprenticeship program or hold an associate's degree in Machining.
- The candidate holds 10 years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing/machining environment.
Physical and Mental Demands: - Regularly or frequently sitting, talking, hearing, grasping, touching, walking, reaching with hands/arms and performing repetitive wrist, hand and/or finger movements.
- Sedentary work exerting up to 10 pounds of force. May be required to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Clarity of vision at 20 inches or less to type documents, read and use a computer.
- Concentrated attention to proofread documents, create spreadsheets, etc. and application of principles of logical thinking and reasoning to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Apply reasoning to solve practical problems and to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagrammatic form.
Work Environment: - Moderate noise level (i.e. computers, printers, etc.). May experience moderate to loud noise level if an assignment is conducted in High Bay area.
- Indoor temperature-controlled office environment.
- May be safety sensitive if required to work an assignment in the High Bay area where PPE is required.
