Position Title: Construction Project Manager

Conco Construction, a self-performing regional leader in the commercial construction industry is seeking a Project Manager . A successful candidate will have the proven ability to lead and manage projects in a variety of industry sectors with varying size/complexity. Candidates will be tasked with taking projects from estimate through project close-out. Successful candidates will be expected to learn and have an in-depth understanding of Conco’s self-performing trades (earthwork, concrete, masonry, ironwork, carpentry, drywall and pre-engineered metal buildings). Conco’s success is highly dependent on developing and maintain long term business clients. The right candidate will feel at home in Conco Construction’s fast-paced, high-energy environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage construction projects in conjunction with project superintendent
2. Prepare and lead project related meetings (progress, OAC, pre-installation, etc.)
3. Create and update detailed project construction schedules
4. Review and approve project invoices weekly
5. Accurately update job costs reports and project estimated profits
6. Effectively prepare competitive estimates for both self-perform trades and subcontracted work
7. Manage bid processes for both hard bid and negotiated projects
8. Maintain positive relationships with clients, subs, suppliers, and business partners
9. Effectively prepare and manage project RFIs, submittals/shop drawing reviews, subcontract documents, contract documents, change orders and close-out documents

Basic Requirements:

1. 2+ years experience in a project management or construction management role
2. Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management/Science, Engineering or related field OR relevant construction management experience
3. Ability to lead construction projects from start to finish with little oversight
4. Exposure to estimating & bid processes
5. Valid driver’s license

Preferred Skills/ Experience:

1. 2+ years’ work experience leading and managing commercial construction projects
2. Managing projects in excess of $5M
3. Managing Construction Manager at Risk (CMR) projects
4. Experience with Bluebeam, OST software and could-based project management software
5. Strong presentation skills for project interviews
6. Business development acumen
