A highly regarded Commercial General Contractor based in Houston is looking for an experienced Project Manager to oversee the successful execution of complex ground-up commercial projects across the Houston area. With a portfolio that spans Automotive, K-12,/ Warehouse, Office, and Medical facilities, this company is known for quality builds, strong client relationships, and long-term growth.

This is a great opportunity for a Project Manager with a solid background in ground-up construction to join a stable and growing team with a robust pipeline of upcoming work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of project delivery from preconstruction through closeout
  • Develop, track, and maintain project schedules, budgets, and forecasts
  • Coordinate with field teams, Superintendents, and subcontractors to ensure timely progress
  • Handle project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and contracts
  • Interface with clients, architects, engineers, and inspectors to maintain alignment and resolve issues
  • Lead project meetings and provide regular updates to stakeholders
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety, quality, and compliance standards
  • Assist in procurement and manage vendor/subcontractor relationships
  • Monitor and manage project costs, billing, and profitability
  • Work collaboratively with estimating, accounting, and field operations to drive successful project outcomes

Requirements:

  • Minimum 8 years of experience as a Project Manager working on ground-up commercial construction projects
  • Proven experience managing projects valued at $25M+
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, budgets, scheduling, and cost control
  • Experience in automotive, warehouse, office, or healthcare construction sectors preferred
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Proficient in construction management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam, Sage, etc.)
  • Based in Houston and able to travel to projects throughout the Houston area
  • Stable job history with strong tenures at previous employers

A project list demonstrating relevant commercial experience is required
