ABOUT THE ROLE

The Copywriter is an articulate, detail-oriented, and creative individual motivated to tell stories that inspire action. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Copywriter will be integral in defining the Tribeca brand voice and bringing it to life across various brand channels. In addition to working closely with the Director of Marketing on messaging for marketing campaigns, the Copywriter will support stakeholders throughout the organization to develop and/or edit written materials that reflect the brand purpose and support brand initiatives.

They are experts at optimizing their writing to suit different brand channels (email, web, social, internal resources, etc.) while maintaining a cohesive throughline and style. RESPONSIBILITIES Brand Voice: Develop and maintain a distinct brand voice that reflects the spirit of Tribeca and resonates with our audience; create editorial guidelines and best practices to facilitate internal adoption. Editing & Proofreading: Manage and proofread copy documents to ensure accuracy, impeccable grammar, spelling, and adherence to brand voice and style. Content Creation: Transform core messages into compelling stories across all brand channels (email, web, social), ensuring they reflect our brand voice, objectives and target audience. Email Marketing Strategy: Develop and manage the email marketing calendar; execute and manage all email marketing campaigns including content ideation, copywriting, and A/B testing. Website & SEO Optimization: Leverage best SEO practices to write website copy, optimizing for both user experience and search engine visibility. Social Media Support: Partner with Social Team to sync email and social media content calendars, as well as refine copy/messaging to ensure consistency across Tribeca channels. Advertising & Promotional Materials: Craft persuasive copy for select advertising assets including paid performance campaigns, full-page print ads, digital banners and placements, video scripts, radio spots, etc. Creative Collaboration & Ideation: Work with the Design Lead to produce cohesive, visually engaging marketing materials; participate in brainstorming sessions to bring fresh, innovative ideas to life. Performance Tracking: Evaluate copy performance across channels, gather insights, and make improvements based on data-driven analysis, in partnership with the Marketing Strategist. Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Collaborate cross-functionally (partnerships, programming, design, etc.) to align on the right content for each objective, and ensure all copy aligns with business goals. Partner and Sponsor Support: Work closely with the Sales and Partnerships organization to develop tailored marketing copy that enhances sponsor visibility on Tribeca channels; develop editorial guidelines for external partners to enable effective cross-promotion. Research: Stay on top of industry trends, audience preferences, and competitors to inform content strategy. REQUIREMENTS Bachelors degree with a focus in creative writing, journalism, marketing communications, or related field 4-6 years of copywriting experience at a creative agency or entertainment company A diverse portfolio demonstrating a wide range of creative and persuasive copy Excellent writing and editing skills with strong editorial sensibility Familiarity with digital marketing and CRM tools; knowledge of SEO principles Superior time-management and project management skills Effective communicator adept at leveraging collaboration tools (Slack, Asana) An affinity for film and entertainment Experience with live events SALARY: $90-$100k LOCATION: located at our NYC offices, onsite 3x days a week
