\n Job Description \n
CT Tech, Medical Imaging is a role responsible for the day-to-day clinical, technical and operational functions within a CT department. Collaborates with supervisor/lead tech to assist with the coordination of the activities of all CT departments in efforts towards maintaining proper patient flow and staff coverage. This includes, but is not limited to, the efficient, effective procurement, utilization, stewardship of all technical, physical, and human resources. Ensures compliance with patient care quality standards as it relates to care provided to all age groups of patients ranging from neonate to geriatric. Participates in performance improvement activities within the department and participates in CQI activities. CT technologists are also required to perform diagnostic x-ray procedures as a regular part of their duties at assigned locations.
\n\nMinimum Requirements:
\n\nHigh school diploma or the equivalent and graduation from AMA Radiologic Technology Program.
\n\t\n\tRequired-registered in good standing with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and board certified in a specialty.
\n\t\n\tARRT (R), ARRT (CT), Required Upon Hire
\n\t\n\tRequired-performance of diagnostic x-ray procedures as a regular part of their duties at assigned locations
\n\t\n\tPreferred- minimum of 1 year CT tech experience in an acute setting
\n\t\n\tBCLS certification: if candidate does not have BCLS certification upon hire, they have 90 days from date of hire to obtain this certification. BCLS certification must be maintained as a condition of employment.
\n\t\n\tACLS certification preferred
\n\t\n\tAdaptability and ability to effectively communicate with all patients and members of the healthcare team.
\n\t\n\tWorks with minimal supervision.
\n\t\n\tMust have knowledge of the human development process and ability to work effectively with all patients of all ages.
\n\t\n\tMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs to assist and move patients.
\n\t\n\tAbility to operate a computer and to input and retrieve data.
