Essential Responsibilities: Monitor and support dental team access email. Assure all clinical documentation has been received from the dental provider to assess, evaluate and complete referral and authorization request. Support the dental access team with ensuring all referral and prior authorization requests are entered into the referral system. Support the dental access team with responding to final referral and prior authorization requests. Assist the dental access team with weekly member assignments to PDP clinics. Request, organize and prepare charts for quality and/or payment integrity chart reviews. Assist with sending care coordination member lists to primary dental providers and delegated dental partners. Run the weekly referral reports and update referrals, as needed. Propose and implement process improvements. Meet deadlines for completion of workload. Maintain agreed upon work schedule. Demonstrate cooperation and teamwork. Provide cross-training on specific job responsibilities. Meet identified business goals that contribute to departmental goals.
Experience and/or Education Required: Minimum 1-year experience in general office or dental front office work or data entry, tracking and reporting. Preferred: Prior experience with dental terminology and dental coding. Prior experience with CareOregon or an organization working with Medicaid.

Ability to effectively solve unique problems as they arise or identify when to escalate issues to appropriate department/supervisor. Ability to develop and maintain excellent professional working relationships with primary dental providers and specialists. Ability to work effectively with diverse individuals and groups. Ability to learn, focus, understand, and evaluate information and determine appropriate actions. Ability to accept direction and feedback, as well as tolerate and manage stress. Ability to see, read, and perform repetitive finger and wrist movement for at least 6 hours/day. Ability to hear and speak clearly for at least 3-6 hours /day.
