About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and visionary Director of Research and Innovation to lead efforts in producing and disseminating evidence-based policy analysis. This pivotal role involves defining strategic research priorities, ensuring the quality and relevance of research initiatives, and promoting innovative, participatory approaches to research. You will strengthen relationships with member think tanks and research partners, oversee the integration of research with policy and communication strategies, and foster a culture of methodological rigor and experimentation.
The Director will also contribute to fundraising efforts and represent our organization in academic and policy-oriented forums. We are looking for someone with a robust background in policy-oriented research and a proven ability to design and deliver research that is both academically rigorous and practically applicable. Experience in participatory and collaborative research methods is essential, alongside a track record of leveraging innovative technologies to enhance inclusivity and research efficiency.
The ideal candidate will have global project management experience, a knack for building research partnerships, and a deep commitment to equity and knowledge justice. Empathic leadership and effective team management skills are crucial, as is fluency in English—with proficiency in Spanish, French, or Portuguese considered an asset. This role demands an inspiring leader who can cultivate a culture of trust, collaboration, and continuous learning within a diverse, virtual team.
