Position Summary:

Landmark Excavating is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Fuel Truck Driver to support our field crews and equipment operations in our Northern Division. This critical role involves fueling and greasing heavy equipment on active job sites, maintaining accurate logs, and ensuring equipment stays operational and well-lubricated. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and committed to maintaining equipment uptime and safe refueling practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate a fuel and lube truck to service a variety of heavy construction equipment (excavators, dozers, loaders, compactors, etc.).
  • Deliver diesel fuel, oils, and grease to job sites throughout the southern region.
  • Perform daily fueling, greasing, and minor fluid checks (oil, coolant, hydraulic) as required for scheduled maintenance support.
  • Maintain accurate service logs, fuel reports, and usage records.
  • Conduct routine visual inspections of equipment while fueling to identify potential leaks or maintenance issues.
  • Follow all company and regulatory safety procedures, including environmental spill prevention and PPE use.
  • Assist with inventory checks and refilling onboard tanks as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with equipment operators, foremen, and mechanics to prioritize service needs.
  • Keep fuel truck clean, organized, and in good working condition; report any mechanical issues promptly.
Qualifications:
  • Required: Valid Class B CDL with Hazmat (H) and Tanker (N) endorsements
  • Clean driving record and current DOT medical card
  • Strong attention to safety and detail
  • Basic mechanical knowledge preferred (fluid types, equipment components)
  • Ability to work independently in remote or fast-paced environments
  • Willingness to work early mornings, extended hours, or weekends as needed
Physical Requirements:
  • Able to lift 50 lbs regularly
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Capable of climbing on/off large equipment and fuel truck platforms
