The Homemaker Apprentice will provide home-based attendant services to Foundation Communities' residents who need assistance maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment. They will provide housekeeping services with access to on-site Resident Services staff for support. The Homemaker Apprentice reports to Meals on Wheels Central Texas In-Home Care Program Manager and works collaboratively with Foundation Communities' Resident Services.
Primary Responsibilities
· Provide attendant services to include (but not limited to): laundry care, dusting, sweeping, mopping, dish care, trash/recycle collection, restroom and kitchen cleaning.
· Dispose of trash and recycling in receptacles located at each property.
· Assist clients with preparation for pest control treatments by meeting requirements from pest control companies such as emptying out drawers and cabinets, cleaning all surfaces, boxing up personal items, etc.
· Maintain stock of FC cleaning supplies by taking inventory of products provided at each property.
· Follow established safety precautions while performing all duties, with utmost regard to universal safety precautions.
· Complete and maintain administrative paperwork, to include daily log, hours worked, and summary at completion of service.
· Treat all clients, staff, and property with respect and dignity, engage in positive relationships, and maintain professional boundaries with clients.
· Maintain the highest level of confidentiality, respect privacy, and communicate with supervisor and relevant onsite staff.

· Willingness and desire to learn and grow in this position.
· Meet Meals on Wheels Central Texas In-Home Care hiring eligibility and pass criminal background check.
· Attend Meals on Wheels Central Texas Orientation and other mandatory employee trainings.
· Must maintain communication with Resident Services on-site staff.
