Systems / Human Factors Engineer Location: Kennedy Space Center (Onsite only) Pay: $70–$90/hour (W2) Contract: 1 year Citizenship: US Citizenship required We're looking for a Systems / Human Factors Engineer to support a major NASA project at Kennedy Space Center. This is a full-time, onsite role supporting the Mobile Launcher 2 (ML2) project — a critical piece of infrastructure designed to support the Space Launch System (SLS) and future deep space missions. You’ll be part of a multidisciplinary team responsible for designing, verifying, and reviewing complex systems. If you’ve got strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a background in systems or human factors engineering, this could be a great fit. What You’ll Do: Review and verify system and facility requirements throughout the design process Evaluate hardware installations for compliance with human factors standards Review design documents for proper implementation of ergonomics, accessibility, and safety considerations Support requirement traceability, change impact assessments, and system verification Work directly with other engineering disciplines and the client to resolve system design issues Document findings and contribute to continuous improvement efforts What You’ll Need: Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering or related field + 9 years of experience, or 15+ years of relevant experience without a degree Must be a US Citizen Ability to obtain EIT certification within 12 months if not already held Ability to pass a background check and drug screen Experience with national codes and standards impacting design Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset Nice to Have: Familiarity with MIL-STD-1472G or FAA HF-STD-001 Experience with construction or site-based engineering Previous work involving implementation and verification of requirements in design Experience conducting change impact analysis
