Entry Level Accountant – Onsite (Baltimore, MD) Salary: $55,000–$65,000/year

Are you looking to build your accounting career in a supportive environment? We’re seeking an entry-level Accountant to join our team onsite in Baltimore. This is a great opportunity for someone eager to learn and grow at a steady pace—not a fast-track role, but a place to develop strong foundational skills.

Who We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
  • 1–5 years of accounting experience or strong accounting internships
  • Construction accounting experience is a plus, but not required
  • Self-starter with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Able to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Strong communication skills with all personality types
  • Detail-oriented and accurate in your work
  • Fluent in English
  • Must have reliable transportation

What You’ll Do:

  • Collaborate with Project Managers to track contracts and budgets
  • Monitor contract modifications and report on project costs
  • Analyze variances in labor, materials, and administrative expenses
  • Close jobs and reconcile job cost ledger to balance sheet and income statement
  • Prepare bank draws and work with lenders
  • Create and submit progress billings to clients
  • Review accounts receivable bi-weekly and follow up on payment status
  • Ensure invoices are coded correctly with job information
  • Assist with audit questions from corporate accounting
  • Record journal entries

Bonus Points For:

  • Knowledge of commercial construction management or industry trends
  • Familiarity with revenue recognition principles
  • Experience with Yardi Job Cost software
