WCS Healthcare Partners is seeking a local contract nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a local contract nursing job in Oswego, New York.

WCS Healthcare is currently seeking a Labor and Delivery Nurse for a contract assignment at a Prestigious Hospital in Oswego, NY.  

Job Function:  

\n

• Night Shift.
\n
• 3x12: 7pm - 7am.
\n
• Categorizes patients in the appropriate level of classification. Applies external fetal monitor and interprets fetal heart tracing and uterine activity.  
\n
• Implements intervention appropriately based on fetal heart rate pattern and maternal status during labor. Identifies emergency situations, observes age and notifies provider accordingly.
\n
• Screens patients for pain during the initial assessment and reassess according to guidelines.  
\n
• Assists the physicians/midwife during a delivery.  
\n

Job Requirements:

\n

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN).  
\n
• Current RN license for the state of New York.
\n
• 2 years of acute care experience in this specialty.  
\n
• BLS, ACLS and NRP certifications from the American Heart Association.  
\n
• Fetal Monitoring Certificate Preferred.
\n
