WCS Healthcare Partners is seeking a local contract Ophthalmic Technician for a local contract job in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Our client is seeking a skilled Surgical Tech to join a reputable ophthalmic hospital in Philadelphia, PA. This is a temp-to-perm position offering the opportunity to work morning shifts. Join a dynamic healthcare team and make a meaningful impact in a hospital setting.

Job Function:

\n

• Day Shift.
\n
• 7am-4pm/8am-5pm.
\n
• Maintain proper sterile field during surgical procedures.     
\n
• Count sponges, needles, and instruments before and after operation and document according to policy.  
\n
• Provide technical assistance to surgeons, OR nurses, or anesthesiologists as needed.     
\n
• Wash and sterilize equipment using proper sterilization techniques.  
\n
• Take inventory and order surgical supplies as needed.    
\n

Job Requirements:

\n

• 1 year of experience as a certified Surgical Tech working in an OR setting is required.
\n
• Completion of accredited Surgical Technologist program.    
\n
• Hold Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) from National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA)  
\n
• BLS preferred (American Heart Association).     
\n
• Ophthalmology is a plus but not required.
