Vaco is hiring for a 3rd Shift Manufacturing Technician opportunity here in Jacksonville.

Shift: Sunday - Thursday | 11:30 PM - 7:30 AM
Pay: 27-30/hr

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing team. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on equipment and systems to ensure uninterrupted production and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• 
  Perform routine and emergency mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance on production equipment.
• 
  Troubleshoot machinery and diagnose root causes of equipment failures.
• 
  Execute preventative maintenance schedules and update maintenance records.
• 
  Repair or replace defective parts using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
• 
  Maintain building systems such as HVAC, lighting, plumbing, and compressed air systems.
• 
  Read and interpret equipment manuals, blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.
• 
  Work closely with production staff to minimize equipment downtime.
• 
  Assist with the installation of new machinery and equipment.
• 
  Ensure compliance with company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and other applicable standards.
• 
  Maintain inventory of spare parts and tools; communicate supply needs to management.
• 
  Participate in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.

Qualifications:

• 
  High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school certification preferred.
• 
  2+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 
  Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and PLC systems.
• 
  Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
