Role Summary
We are seeking a talented individual to operate manual and CNC machining equipment. In this role, you will:
- Make program edits on CNC machines
- Ensure components meet precise dimensions and tolerances
- Utilize measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and scales
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment
- Contribute to safety and efficiency improvements
- Complete associated paperwork accurately
This is a 1st Shift Position in Raleigh, NC.
Key Responsibilities
- Setup and operate manual and CNC machining equipment
- Edit CNC programs directly at the machine
- Machine components to meet print specifications
- Measure parts accurately using various tools
- Drive improvements in safety and efficiency
- Complete all required training and paperwork
- Work across multiple machines and processes
- Provide guidance to junior team members
What We’re Looking For
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of relevant experience
- A commitment to a zero-accident safety culture
- Strong math skills, including basic trigonometry
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings
- Understanding of G-code and/or conversational programming
- Experience with precision measuring tools
- Knowledge of fixturing and safe work holding
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with cast materials
- Basic rigging and overhead crane usage
- Understanding of turning and milling insert geometries
- Knowledge of machining stainless alloys
Working Conditions
- First shift: Monday to Friday, 06:00 - 14:30
- Second shift: Monday to Friday, 14:45 - 23:15
- Overtime as required (36-hour notice for required overtime)
