Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate PRN Registered Nurse to join our outpatient surgery center team across several Maryland locations. This is an excellent opportunity for a flexible RN looking to support high-quality perioperative care in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.

Position Summary:
The PRN RN will provide nursing care for patients before, during, and after outpatient surgical procedures. The ideal candidate is highly organized, adaptable, and comfortable working in a multidisciplinary clinical setting. This role supports multiple centers based on staffing needs, offering a variety of clinical experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient assessments and education
• Assist with surgical preparation and support the clinical team during procedures
• Monitor patient status and vital signs throughout the perioperative process
• Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with facility policies and regulatory standards
• Ensure safe and effective patient care, adhering to infection control and safety protocols
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and support staff to deliver coordinated care
• Float between multiple surgery center locations as needed.

Qualifications:

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Maryland
• Minimum of 1–2 years of recent experience in outpatient surgery, PACU, pre-op, ambulatory, or acute care
• BLS (required)
• Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills
• Ability to work independently and adapt to varying facility environments
• Excellent communication and patient education skills
