Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Dog Walker/Pet Care Provider to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a true passion for animals and enjoy providing exceptional, quality, detail-oriented care for dogs, cats and other pets.
This position offers an opportunity to work outdoors and interact with furry companions on a daily basis.
**Responsibilities:**
- Arrive on time according to your schedule, check all notes for the visit to ensure quality service, and write a detailed report at the end of each visit using our software (smartphone required)
- Work independently and without direct supervision to fulfill the needs of the pets we are caring for
- Walk dogs of various breeds and sizes in all weather conditions
- Ensure the safety and well-being of each dog in your care, at all times
- Provide exercise, playtime, and a positive environment for dogs during walks, as well as any other owner needs including feeding, medication, etc.
- Follow specific instructions regarding each dog's walking route, behavior, and special needs (accessed right on your phone)
- Maintain cleanliness during walks and dispose of waste properly
- Report any health or behavioral concerns to the pet owner in each report
**Requirements:**
- Valid driver's license
- Smartphone with data access
- Problem solving skills and the ability to "think outside the box"
- Ability to manage multiple dogs safely and effectively
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Knowledge of basic pet care practices and animal behavior
- Physical stamina to walk for extended periods and handle dogs of varying sizes
- Reliable transportation to travel to different walking locations
-availability is a must!
**Preferred but not necessary:**
- Previous pet sitting or animal care experience (mainly dogs & cats)
- There will be opportunities to make additional money and increase your pay significantly by occasionally staying overnight with well behaved pets in their home!
