Job Overview

The Pricing Strategist manages client pricing engagements, sets the tone, leads the internal team, and ensures clients receive a high-quality program experience. The role involves working closely with Pricing iQ team members and clients to conduct research, translate findings into quantitative and qualitative analysis, and consult on recommendations for monetising value and accelerating growth strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a highly impactful pricing engagement from start to finish
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with executive leaders to surface needs, validate hypotheses, and shape strategy
  • Shape and structure data sets for analysis to uncover opportunities to improve monetisation or reduce value leakage
  • Build statistical and analytical models to identify patterns, anomalies, and root causes leading to pricing and packaging recommendations
  • Provide proactive and consistent communications regarding project objectives, status updates, potential barriers, and results
  • Use AI to make processes more efficient and create faster, better outputs
  • Help the team quickly ramp up on the client’s target market, competitors, and customers as part of deep market and value proposition analysis
  • Run market and customer research surveys (Kano, Conjoint, MaxDiff, Gabor Granger, Van Westendorp) to analyse price, value, and sentiment
  • Develop expertise in pricing for software businesses and share insights with clients

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • 5+ years’ experience in project management, private equity, finance, or consulting, preferably in high-tech B2B SaaS
  • Involvement in past pricing projects or a strong demonstrated interest in pricing
  • Polished written and verbal communication skills to synthesise information and present monetisation strategies
  • Ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams and deliver under tight deadlines while maintaining a growth mindset
  • Strong client management skills and ability to provide a high-touch client experience
  • Advanced analytical and statistical modelling skills, including data structuring, manipulation, and visualisation with imperfect data sets
  • Ability to lead and facilitate interviews with customers, prospects, experts, and employees to uncover pricing insights
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or equivalent work experience
