Position Title: Purchasing Assistant

Wage: $17.50 - $20.00/hour

Shift: 1st

Hours: 8:00am - 4:00pm

QPS Employment Group has a great opportunity available for a Purchasing Assistant at a company in Plover, WI. This is a temporary position for 1st shift. The ideal candidate will be detail-driven and proactive, with expertise in new product introduction, change management and cross-functional coordination. Apply now!

Purchasing Assistant Responsibilities:
- Coordinate new product introduction process including checklist completion and verification forms
- Maintain the JDE System including Item Master, Item Branch, Routings, Bill of Materials, etc.
- Act as a liaison between other departments, customers and suppliers to ensure effective and on time introduction of new products
- Hold and facilitate new product meetings
- Document process change requirements and customer specific processes
- Provide production support and troubleshooting, performing root cause analysis
- Support with label programming requests
- Access customer systems to gather data needed

Requirements for Purchasing Assistant:
- High School diploma or equivalent with 2-4 years of relevant administrative/operational support in manufacturing operations or office environment directly related to the duties of the job, or demonstrated ability to meet the job requirements through a comparable number of years of work experience
- Knowledge of general administrative / manufacturing operations procedures and knowledge of job specific processes
- Knowledge of technology including computers and software programs such as spreadsheets, Google, Google Docs, etc.
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to meet established deadlines and coordinate phases of work with other team
