Summary:

As a Registered Nurse specializing in Forensic Nursing, you will demonstrate a high level of independence and awareness in clinical settings. You will provide both routine and complex nursing care, with a focus on achieving long-term goals for patient health. Continuously developing your skills, you will adeptly manage the various challenges that arise in nursing, ensuring that patient care is both effective and compassionate. Your role will include making appropriate assignments and delegating responsibilities to assist in efficient clinical management.

Responsibilities:

• Exceed expectations in the OneCHRISTUS Competencies of Self Leadership, Leadership for Others, or Leadership for Leaders.
• Deliver nursing care that aligns with the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, executing the nursing process which encompasses assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for your assigned patients.
• Address the complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and their families, while adhering to your professional practice level.
• Administer medications and treatments following appropriate protocols, consistently monitoring for any side effects and evaluating treatment effectiveness.
• Accurately document patient histories, symptoms, medications, and the nursing care provided.
• Assess the learning needs of patients and their families or caregivers, providing necessary education and identifying relevant issues and resources.

Job Requirements:

Education/Skills

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is preferred.

Experience

• 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty is preferred.

Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications

• BLS certification is required.
• Current RN License in the state of employment or compact is required.

7PM - 7AM
