The number of onsite and remote workdays are at discretion of the hiring manager and will vary.

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior IT Project Manager for a contracted position that will require some on-site work. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, critical thinking skills, and exceptional time management.

Effective interpersonal communication is crucial, as this role requires collaboration with various stakeholders to achieve project goals. Candidates must have a minimum of five years of project management experience, preferably in a technology-focused environment. The successful applicant will demonstrate a proven track record of managing complex projects and delivering successful outcomes.

Our client receives all technology services from the Commonwealth Office of Technology (COT) . This includes all infrastructure, hardware, software, equipment, network, and all user account identities, security requirements, monitoring, and support. The Senior IT Project Manager will be responsible for:

• Determining all technology and services currently being provided by COT.
• Structuring a transition plan to establish all necessary services independent of COT.
• Advising and assisting the COO to draft and issue an RFP or multiple RFPs to establish all necessary services independent of COT.
• Advising and assisting the COO in determining long-term service provision, including staffing and outsourcing.

Required Skill Sets:

• Active PMP Certification through PMI.
• Possess strong leadership abilities, critical thinking skills, and exceptional time management.
• Effective interpersonal communication and collaboration with various stakeholders to achieve project goals.
