The Senior Staff Accountant serves as a key member of a small, collaborative finance team, responsible for comprehensive fixed asset management and general ledger accounting. This role owns the entire fixed asset cycle—including tracking, depreciation, construction-in-progress, and year-end audits—while ensuring accurate project reporting within JD Edwards (ERP). The position also supports timely month-end close for the company and its subsidiaries by preparing and analyzing journal entries, performing balance-sheet reconciliations, and reviewing sub-ledger activity.

In addition, the Senior Staff Accountant partners with internal teams to support budgeting, variance analysis, and the documentation of accounting procedures, ensuring accurate financial records and clear reporting to management.

What You’ll Do:

• Own fixed asset tracking and reporting, including depreciation, construction in progress, and year-end audits
• Manage project reporting in JD Edwards (ERP) and ensure fixed asset records are accurate and up-to-date
• Assist the month-end close process for our main company and two subsidiaries—accuracy and timeliness are key
• Perform strong balance sheet reconciliations to support financial clarity
• Prepare and analyze journal entries, general ledger activity, and sub-ledger reconciliations
• Collaborate with internal teams to support budgeting, variance analysis, and documentation of accounting procedures

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (preferred)
• 4+ years of accounting experience, ideally in a manufacturing setting
• Advanced Excel skills—you know your way around a pivot table and vLOOKUP
• Ability to juggle priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
