Temporary Event Security Show Me Center
Part-Time, Variable Shifts
Position Available/Potential Start Date : 7/26/25
Primary Responsibilities: - Enforce Show Me Center facility policies to create a safe and enjoyable experience for facility guests
- Prevent the unauthorized entry of prohibited items
- Conduct security checks through the utilization of weapons detectors and bag searches
- Monitor crowd flow and manage potential disturbances
- Direct foot traffic and manage lines
- Serve guests in a gracious and accommodating manner; resolve guest issues
- Maintain clear communication with other security personnel, event coordinators, and guests
- Address disruptive or unruly behavior
- Ensure a safe environment during and after events, including assisting with cleanup and breakdown
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Ability to work evening and weekend shifts
- Ability to address situations quickly and make sound decisions
- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with a diverse range of people
- Ability to identify potential security risks and hazards
- Demonstrated experience and understanding of customer service
- Ability to stand for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Prior security experience is a plus
