Our client is looking for a detail-oriented and strategic Underwriter to join their growing team of 30+ professionals. In this role, you’ll evaluate and price commercial insurance risks, ensuring profitable and well-assessed business across Property & Casualty lines. This is a hybrid position based in New Haven County, CT.

Underwriter’s Responsibilities and Duties:

• Underwrite commercial Property & Casualty risks, with a focus on property, liability, and auto.
• Collaborate with the Account Services team to gather essential information and assess risk exposure.
• Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify high-risk accounts and make informed underwriting decisions.
• Write and issue policies in accordance with company underwriting guidelines.
• Use pricing authority to determine premiums for new and renewal business based on risk analysis.

Underwriter’s Qualifications and Skills:

• At least 3 years of underwriting experience in commercial insurance.
• Strong knowledge of commercial lines and habitual coverages.
• Demonstrated ability to assess, price, and manage commercial insurance risks.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and decision-making skills.
