Mavis Tire – Business Analyst

Put your career into high gear with Mavis Tire! We're looking for a full time Business Analyst to join our team at our Operation Support Center in White Plains, NY. With nearly 2,300 retail locations, Mavis is one of the largest, independently-owned tire sales and automotive repair chains in the United States. As we scale, we are looking for a hands-on Business Analyst who can bridge operations, IT, and data - helping us make smarter, faster decisions using data and automation.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Business Analyst to play a key role in analyzing operational data, supporting business systems, and working closely with internal stakeholders to improve decision-making across our multi-location retail environment. This role requires strong SQL skills for querying and reporting, as well as working knowledge of C# to support or enhance in-house applications and tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with operations, sales, inventory, and IT teams to gather requirements and provide data-driven insights.
• Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, clean, and report on data from various business systems.
• Support and contribute to development efforts in C# (primarily for internal tools, automation, or reporting applications).
• Analyze sales trends, inventory movements, and customer purchasing patterns across multiple retail locations.
• Identify gaps in process, propose improvements, and support implementation with technical solutions.
• Assist with integration efforts between systems (POS, inventory, ERP) and support testing/documentation.
• Develop and maintain dashboards or reports for business users.
• Provide ad hoc analysis and support for business decisions.

Qualifications & Skills

To be eligible for the Business Analyst position, you must possess:

• 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar analytical/technical role.
• A strong proficiency in SQL (MS SQL Server preferred) - able to write complex joins, subqueries, and perform data transformation.
• Experience with C# for scripting, application support, or automation.
• Familiarity with retail operations, inventory management, or POS systems (tire/automotive retail experience is a plus).
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Experience with tools like Power BI, Excel, or Tableau for data visualization, an understanding of ERP or inventory systems commonly used in retail , familiarity with supply chain or logistics data, and knowledge of ST/LT tire categories or related industry insight are preferred.
