About the Company

Overview:

An established and growing General Contractor based in Gurnee, IL is seeking a Project Manager to lead ground-up and large-scale renovation projects across commercial sectors. This person will play a critical role in managing multiple concurrent projects from pre-construction through closeout , with an emphasis on quality, safety, and schedule adherence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all phases of the construction lifecycle, including estimating support , budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and subcontractor management.
• Lead project teams including Superintendents, APMs, and subcontractors , ensuring strong collaboration and accountability.
• Maintain direct communication with owners, architects, engineers, and internal leadership throughout project execution.
• Manage documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and monthly cost reporting.
• Conduct regular site visits, enforce safety protocols, and resolve field issues proactively.
• Manage multiple active projects with varying timelines and scopes, ensuring on-time and on-budget completion.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of Project Management experience with a General Contractor , ideally in commercial ground-up or major renovations.
• Strong background in managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with construction management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam, etc.).
• Solid understanding of construction means and methods, cost controls, and scheduling techniques.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Must be commutable to Gurnee, IL and able to visit job sites across the region.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with hospitality, senior living, healthcare, retail, or public works projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• OSHA 30 or similar safety training.
