Job Posting: Lab Assistant - Food Science

**Food Background Required!!

We’re looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Lab Assistant to join our R&D team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food science and a passion for creating innovative food products. This is a full-time position located at our facility in Houston, Texas.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct laboratory experiments and tests on food products, ingredients, and processes. This includes shelf-life studies, sensory evaluations, and nutritional analysis.
• Assist in the development and improvement of new and existing food products.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring all instruments are calibrated and in good working order.
• Record and analyze data from experiments, preparing detailed reports and presentations for senior staff.
• Maintain a clean and safe laboratory environment, adhering to all company and industry safety protocols.
• Manage inventory of lab supplies and ingredients.

Qualifications

• Food Science Degree or a related field (e.g., Food Technology, Food Chemistry).
• Proven experience in a lab setting, preferably within the food or beverage industry.
• Proficiency with common lab equipment such as pH meters, spectrophotometers, and texture analyzers.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in data collection and reporting.
