A global life sciences company supporting research and development efforts across the healthcare and scientific community. The organization operates internationally and partners with a broad range of stakeholders in a dynamic, growth oriented environment. The Senior Accountant will support core accounting operations while partnering closely with finance leadership, sales, and operations teams. This role is based in the San Diego area and contributes to accurate financial reporting, month end close, and cross functional financial support. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast paced, international environment. Key Responsibilities
• Prepare and review journal entries, account analyses, and reconciliations with supporting documentation • Perform balance sheet account reconciliations • Prepare financial statements and bi weekly sales reports • Support general ledger, fixed assets, and overall accounting functions • Assist with monthly and annual close processes and the annual budget • Provide accounting guidance to site operations and corporate departments • Analyze and validate financial data at the business segment and account level • Support senior leadership with FP&A initiatives • Assist with M&A related financial analysis and support • Review and approve employee expense reports • Perform additional duties as assigned by senior management Qualifications

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco by Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to: the individual’s skill sets, experience and training; licensure and certification requirements; office location and other geographic considerations; other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law, Vaco by Highspring believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
