Supply Chain Manager – Oil & Gas

Vader-Rey Recruiting is supporting a premier oil & gas operator in the search for a sharp, strategic Supply Chain Manager to lead end-to-end procurement and materials logistics for critical projects and day-to-day operations. This is a direct-hire role — you’ll join the client’s team full-time, embedded onsite, driving cost control, contractor performance, and materials flow across downstream, terminal, or pipeline assets.

What You’ll Own:

• Total Material Control: From vendor negotiations to field delivery, own the entire lifecycle of goods and services
• Internal Coordination: Work directly with construction, maintenance, engineering, and executive stakeholders to ensure alignment, budget discipline, and schedule performance
• Operational Impact: You’re not managing supply chain — you’re optimizing how the operation runs

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead all supply chain functions: sourcing, purchasing, delivery logistics, warehouse management, and inventory control
• Directly manage supply chain team and hold procurement meetings to review backorders, PO aging, delivery ETA’s, and project readiness
• Analyze demand trends, project needs, and inventory levels to prevent shortages and reduce overages
• Execute contract negotiations and vendor selection with a focus on cost savings, risk reduction, and long-term value
• Develop KPIs and track vendor performance, budget adherence, and material movement efficiency
• Partner with project managers and field leads to ensure materials are onsite and ready before they’re needed
• Evaluate supply chain gaps, initiate process improvements, and support digital procurement systems (CMMS, ERP)
• Ensure compliance with corporate procurement policies, safety protocols, and regulatory standards

What We’re Looking For:

• 10+ years of supply chain, procurement, or logistics leadership within oil & gas , terminal , refinery , or heavy industrial sectors
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field
• Strong negotiation and vendor management experience
• Proven record of cost control, budget management, and driving performance in procurement
• Working knowledge of CMMS systems, Microsoft Office, and project-driven workflows
• Experience building or leading a high-performing procurement team
• TWIC card (or ability to obtain), valid driver’s license, and ability to pass pre-employment background, drug screen, and physical

Preferred Experience:

• Previous oversight of materials procurement for construction, turnaround, or expansion projects in energy or industrial settings
• Familiarity with DOT, OSHA, and port-specific requirements
• Strong vendor network
