Job Description

About Company:

Graniti, a charming town nestled in the picturesque region of Sicily, is the very place where the rich and storied Calabro legacy first began. It was here that fresh, creamy milk was regularly brought to the Calabro household, where it was skillfully transformed into delicious cheese.

Following the tumultuous events of World War II, the resilient Calabro family made the significant decision to immigrate to America in the year 1948, seeking new opportunities and a brighter future.

In 1953, the enterprising brothers Joseph and Salvatore Calabro took a bold step by founding Calabro Cheese, a venture that involved delivering their high-quality products to local grocers and families in their community.

By 1961, their dedication to excellence led them to acquire the Wells River Creamery, which significantly boosted their production capabilities. In 1981, they further expanded their operations by constructing a state-of-the-art facility in East Haven, Connecticut, to meet the growing demand for their cheese.

A major expansion in 1996 allowed them to enhance their service not only in New England but also in regions far beyond.

In 2021, a pivotal moment arrived when Calabro Cheese was sold to Granarolo USA, a move that greatly enhanced its product offerings and market reach.

This remarkable journey of growth and perseverance continues to inspire us to honor our roots and the legacy that has been built over the years.
